And Ichkeria was heard by individual parents and teachers. This is the name of the self-proclaimed state of the Chechen Republic. But reality turned out to be more commonplace.
What does eshkerey mean
For the first time having heard this set of sounds, it seems that this is non-Russian speech. But in one of the Turkic languages (Chuvash) there is the word "esker", which in translation sounds like a gang.
But today's youth is not looking for sources for slang in the cultural heritage of Russia. And such an interesting word, which is known to any modern teenager, was borrowed from their American peers. But in America there is another word, or rather, the phrase “let’s get it,” which is heard by Russians as “esketit”.
Translated into the native language, it sounds like:
- "Come on."
- "I need this." In this case, it refers to finances.
- "Are you weak?"
- "Do not be a coward and a wimp!".

Where did it come from
At the very beginning of his journey, the rapper Lil Pump (Gezzi Garcia) established cooperation with a hip-hop artist who has the creative pseudonym Smokepurpp. Back in school, Garcia visited his friend’s studio and tried to read several verses with a looped bit. Since then, Smokepurpp has often appeared in Lil Pump videos. Together, buddies sing about sex, drugs and hip-hop. Of course, each of their joint videos is a resounding success, all thanks to the genuine openness and talent of friends.
The same thing happened with the clip called “ESSKEETIT”. Here, friends emotionally shout this phrase, which makes no sense. But popularity, it turned out that there is.
How to use eshkerey on the Internet
The word, uttered once, began to walk independently in various youth groups. The Russian-language Internet also picked up this fashionable trend, and already in June 2017 it became famous. Thus, the escheker can be safely called the main trend of the season:
- VKontakte has a large number of groups in which this word appears. It can mean the theme of music, books, as well as celebrity photos.

Many are convinced that the word eschekerei in its own pronunciation resembles the Tatar or Kyrgyz or Central Asian language as a whole. But actually it is borrowed from the English language. In this case, the emphasis is placed on the second syllable. Of course, in the melodic Chuvash language there is a consonant word - “esker”, which means “horde”, “gang”, “gang” in translation. But it has nothing to do with the popular meme.
